Yes everyone, today is the day. Received my very first Chris Reeve knife, the small 21 Sebenza. Oh my God. It took me 40 years to find out what it is all about. This is perfection. I read almost the entire forum to know what I was going to buy. Threads about the lockup, smoothness of opening and closing the knife, making it an EDC etc.

These are my impressions:
fit and finish = 100%
opening and closing smoothness = 100%
blade centre = 100%
handling = 100%
lockup = about 80% after lots of pressure on the blade, in others words perfect
worth the money = hell yeah
satisfied = hell yeah, 110%

Best thing of all, I live in the Netherlands and most of the time you have to pay taxes and duties. Guess what, I did not have to. Maybe because they sent me the package with a totall value of only 65 Dollars printed on it instead of the 370 Dollars I paid in totall.
Taxes would have added another 140 dollars or so. Make my day. One very, very happy Sebenza owner and member of this family.

A great day to all of you..................:thumbup:

Gefeliciteerd!

:D

Got my small Sebbie Blackwood straight from the States as well; customs did backstab me a bit but not for the whole $400, phew... Yep, it's worth it. No other production knife can possibly approach it.

Be carefull where you wear it! I just today bought the BM 690 Elishewitz back that the police stole away from me 6 years ago, at one of our "pre-emptive search" sessions the police can randomly carry out anywhere. There's a cop out there with my knife, as we speak. Glad to have it back! Bought it at the DKE today, did you go as well?

Congrats fellow Nederlander (my parents immigrated in 1950, but I figure that's still pretty close to the real thing :p ). Welcome to knife perfection. Now go buy some more!

Chris Reeve really perfected the Sebenza design in the 21. The new, subtle changes to the Classic only add to beauty of the Sebenza's already stunning lines. Oh yeah, and it's functionally perfect too.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit it in a forum other than this one, but I really feel like the $$$ I spent on my large Sebenza was worth every penny :o :D:D

I have three CRKs right now, and together they probably cost me close to fourteen hundred dollars.
Definitely worth every penny.

Congraatulations on your First Sebenza and Welcome To The Chris Reeve Family......Enjoy !

I forgot to mention one thing, sharpness is hair shaving sharp.................yeahhhhhhhh baby....................
