But here it is anyway. I really want a BM Balisong and another Sebenza. I cannot get both. If I get a Sebbie it will be a decorated and it will be my only knife purchase for another year. If I get a BM balisong I can get a few other knives I've been coveting like the Camillus EDC Talonite and William Henry Spearpoint.
Also, Sebenza owners: does the decorated version of the Sebbie turn out better on the large or the small.

Non knife related: Another jet is down. I hope this is not another terror attack. God bless those people.

I really don't know what to tell you. If you already have a Sebenza then you might want to look at getting the bali and the other knives. The thing is, which do you think that you will use the most? If it is the Sebenza, go for it. If not go the other way.

You know deep inside which way you want to go. Think about it, it shouldn't be that hard to decide.

Flip a coin. If you're happy with what it says, do it. If you're not, then you should do the opposite. Sometimes having a decision made for you, and finding out if you're happy with it or not helps to crystallize what you really want to do.

kutch133,

You can either buy the 'Benz or the BM Balisong, OR you can send the money to me, and I'll buy something that I want.:D.

I agree with Burke's method - it works well for me, anyhow. :) *Personally* I'd get the bali...but that could be 'cuz I've never handled a sebenza...

I have a little psychology I find works in many aspects of my life.

If there is something I really want to buy, and I look around hard enough I can always find 4 or 5 things I like "just as much" for the same money.

If I buy the 4 or 5 things instead of the one more expensive thing in the first place I always wind up still lusting for what I really wanted because the joy of getting a lot of items for the money wears off pretty quick.

In other words, I think if you bought the multiples you'd spend the rest of the year thinking about the decorated Sebenza and wishing you had bought it.

Works for me, hope that it makes sense...

i would go after the BM and some other cheaper knives. on my budget, it is more fun to buy a knife every few months than just once a year. I think it would be tough to maintain self control for the rest of the year after you bought the sebenza. just my two cents worth
