Trying to decide on the model I want to purchase but all this talk on problems sharpening them is starting to worry me!

I've just now gotten to wear I can put a good almost shaving edge on my knives and have it be even and look good without a lot of different angles and scratches.

So, are Busse's that much different, or that much more complex? I'm looking at the both the Basics and the SH-E and MS and it seems they are all different. Thanks for your help.

Do it right,or not at all.

The demand for Busse knives constantly grows because they perform. The asymmetrical edge was well thought out and tested prior to implementation.

It is NOT hard to sharpen...it's just different and requires some getting used to.

The edges applied to ALL of the knives are the same...there are no differences between models. Each asymmetrical edge is applied by hand and sharpened by hand.

Busse Combat no longer does its previous simple convex edge unless it's a Variant or a reapplication of an edge to a knife which the customer sends in AFTER it is purchased.

The dual edge is supposed to be easier not harder to sharpen. Bottom line if you don't like it you can always change it - it is only an edge after all. My Basic went from dual to flat to fully convex.
