Oh yes I did! Gotta a little tipsy last night at my local knife makers shop and modded my BK2 a little. Just a little. Obviously this voids the warranty and all that, but it's a 2, or was so shouldn't require warranty. If I really get to missing the old 2 I'll just buy another. No real purpose to thus mod, just hit me earlier this week that I'd like to see more of a chisel edge on a 2.

Once you recover from the shock, it actually looks handy. Kind of a magnum Wharncliffe with a chisel on the end type of a thing...sort of..
I'm trying like a mofo to be positive about this....

Interesting, not sure if its my cup of booze or not.

What inspired you to do those mods?

Thats so weird! Not the knife, well yeah the knife is weird, but just yesterday I was thinking about how it would be cool to see a short BK3. This is probably as close to that as I will see.

Thanks guys, I'm still waiting on the Becker hammer to come down on me for this. Basically I had a pic of my 10 with a paper laying over it this week at just about the same angle. I glanced at it and thought it looked useful for something maybe, I'll admit I still don't know what though. Anyway, ain't no way I'm grinding a 10 up, so I went with the 2 because it's got the stoutness to pull it off.

Magnum Wharncliffe, I like that name. Speaking of hammer, how well does it work as a chisel?

I have to admit I flinched when I saw the pics, but for all that, it's pretty well done. I can't say I like it, but it's kinda cool, and if you were going to make a chisel knife out of something and you weren't just going to buy a 3, that's probably the knife to do it on.

Haven't really had a chance to use it. We did this around 2 a.m. I'll have the day off tomorrow, maybe I'll give her a go then.

I was thinking of the Razel when I looked at it as well. I was and am still planning on getting me a Razel eventually, I wish I could afford a Graham Bros over a CRKT... those guys are just down the road from me. I will stick to my Mora Craftsmen with chisel tip, for the time being:)

It reminds me of the razel also. I have one and it is pretty handy. You can de-burr holes with the chisel edge, and the pointy tip is great for making custom sized boxes. It looks like it will be pretty handy around the shop or under the seat.

Just checked out the CRKT Razels, nice! I may have to check them out a little further.

Murph, you can give mine a test run. It is one of those love it or hate it knives, best to make sure you like it before you purchase it.
