OH NO!!! We got a "D"

HAHA!!! congrats guys!!:D

I'm sure Alaska is no surprise...

"Alaska Receives an "F+" on Laws Shielding Families From Gun Violence"

Feels mighty fine to be an Alaskan this morning!!:D

Off to count bullets and mags.....;)

I see my former home, CA., gets an A- , while my home state now, Montana, gets a solid F.

I also see they are against concealed carry. Wow. One of the best options that curtails violence and they're against it. You'd think they would like it- background checks, the guns carried being serialized and known by item- so they're in the right hands, right? Wrong. There are no right hands for gun except for military and law enforcement. That's the point of view.

Indiana got a solid "D":) Basically, the only thing we did "right" doesn't apply to me anymore, so that's fine by be:)

What a group of mouth breathers.

"Georgia: State law does not clearly authorize the Attorney General to independently regulate firearms or establish gun safety standards as part of the Attorney General?s responsibility to protect consumers."

So they want the Attourney General to be able to legislate and prosecute. That is so damn stupid I can't stand it. Additionally several of the things on the list they said we don't do (trigger locks sold with guns, ballistic fingerprinting, etc) were done when I bought my pistol.

I just signed up on their website to be kept informed of any issues. Forgot to mention I am a diehard 2nd amendment supporter. :-) Good to be kept informed of what the enemy is up to. Plus I hope I cost them some money in mailings.

Wait a minute here! Lets put this down to bare bones . The inference to me is or should be (Alaska + gun violence + F = Lotsa gun violence in Alaska . I mean like I can see cabin fever or attacks by armed grizzlies. (they are armed aren,t they?)Are grizzly attacks somehow factored into their equation as an armed aggression that could have been avoided if the arms were removed ? perhaps all this can lead to an elevated position as regarding the possibility of gun violence
If there isn,t an undue amount of violence in Alaska perhaps there is something wrong with the reasoning behind their failing grade . What is the purpose behind this system if not to lower the degree of gun violence . .

I heard a news story yesterday, in response to the recent murder of the girl in Brooklyn, that if someone wants to get you, they will get you; even in broad daylight you're not safe. Maybe that's true if the best weapon you're allowed to carry is your car keys. Beyond the actual killer, the fault here lies with those who would insist that our honest citizens be completely disarmed and made to walk the streets as potential helpless victims. I don't know why it is so hard for some people to understand that only honest citizens obey the law. It's a no brainer.

WA, D-. And I wanted an F. Apparently the states with the best grades also have the highest crime rates.

Disarm the populace and make them subjects with the state responsible for their safety. Oh yeah that really works. lol

lessee, CT and MA gets an A-, but NH, VT, and ME D- :) nice :>

i know where i want to live...

Yeah, HD's website is a reliable inverse indicator for quality of life. Especially if you value personal freedom.

I'm thinking about writing them a letter of complaint. Munk got a solid F and I only get an F+ that's not fair!

In Alaska we can carry ANY handgun most ANYWHERE with no permit, concealed or open carry. I could run around all day with a set of .50 AE Desert Eagles or Uzis and not be illegal. in Alaska State law, even FELONS can own shotguns and rifles, due to the living conditions up here.

I used to talk to cops and forest rangers while openly carrying a handgun when I was barely 18.

Alaska deserves AT LEAST a solid F, if not an F minus!  ;)

Alaska has very little violence, but when there is violence...we tend to do it right. Anchorage is gettin' to be pretty violent though. (Y'all do know that the real Alaska state lines start about thirty minutes outside of Anchorage, right?):D

D- here in OK. Oh well, no one's perfect.

Definitely better than the A- in my old stomping grounds of IL

My damn liberal state (CT) got an A-. I want an F- too! These s.o.b.s actually downgraded CT (in their terms) for allowing Police Officers to carry firearms off-duty, without having to show a "need"!
Carrying Concealed Weapons Law B- Police have discretion, training, limited jurisdiction, not need —based
I'm sure they would want be the ones to decide who has a need and who doesn't. Damn hippies don't even know how to read a Constitution! (CT's Constitution actually says "SEC. 15. Every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state.", unfortunately our liberal state supreme court chooses to ignore any parts of the state and federal Constituions that they don't like.)

It's nice to be a Kentuckian. F.

Never felt better to be a "failure"
