I lost my Chesnut CV SBJ a ways back. My heart has literally been aching. Today my face is aching (allergies), so I delved into my wife's "box of medicines" in search of benadryl. Guess what I found. So happy, but there's gonna be some explaining to do.

This was someones way of leading you to your knife....I think that someone also threw a little jinx on your face their as a lesson never to leave your knife behind! :D
I hope this lesson was learned, just imagine what My Van from Carls past would have done to you! , I think you got off lightly with the allergies my friend lol.

I got no complaints. In fact, I swear the SBJ is prettier since the last time I saw it. Scales seem darker. And I'm sure I'm the one that put it in there. Curses. ;)

I saw a little metaphor in your finding the knife in the 'box of medicines'. Whomever left it there, someone knows what really eases your pain. I have found this hobby quite therapeutic, oftentimes. :)

Oh happy day. Finding something you have lost is a great feeling. I find it better than g etting something new.
My Father lost his Case Stockman that he carried for many years as Pittsburgh cop. After he passed away in 2005 at 87 years old I got his 1997 Buick LaSabre. I loved that car and drove it for five years. Last April I was driving home from work and was T-boned by garbage truck. I was in the hospital for about 11 days but recovered fully. The Buick had been towed to my yard. Needless to say it was totalled. While I was gimping around and recovering my son stopped by in hopes of cheering me up. I asked him to help me clean the Buick out before sending it to junk yard. He found my Father's Stockman wedged in the drivers seat. It needed a little TLC but was in good shape.
Today my son carries his grandfather's Stockman with many fond memories of Pop Pop.

David, LOL. So true.

Coop, what a great story! Sorry for your loss of course, but a neat ending. I looked in the crevises of the car for my SBJ for hours! Sniff...I'm so glad it's back. I was about to freak out and buy a replacement, but it wouldn't have been the same. My precious patina and sharpening 'beauty marks' are back!

The same thing happened to one of my peanuts.....wife snagged it off my bureau to cut some thread while she was sewing. Needless to say, it never returned to my drawer!

Great stories on here, glad to hear that you have been reunited.

I lost my favorite knife. It was a Blue Case Copperlock JR. I carried it in my back pocket for a couple of years and it was always great to have around. I loved that thing, it was a part of me.
I do believe that it is stuck in one of my grandparents recliners, so I am secretly hoping that they fall apart soon. :D

My SBJ returned. Sometimes you have to lose a knife to realize how much you like it.
