Oh ...the life of a scrounger

I just got three hinges, about 3: wide tapering to 1.5" and close to 4 feet long made of wrought iron. Came off a very old Amish barn.

This was all scrounged except for the welding rod, and light switch
Yep I even got the vice from a junkyard.

I think the door was holding the barn up. If it had Chestnut beams I'd be in scroungers Heaven!

HMMMMMM...it would make a nice heavy duty folder. Wouldn't hold an edge and you would need a wheel barrow to carry it but it would be unique and I expect it may set a new style trend .

No Mete, the immediate plans for one of the hinges are furniture for a Southern Mountain rifle and fittings on a Rifleman's Knife to match.

A scounger's life is happy indeed. You really scored, and your project sounds great. I hope you'll post pics of the rifle and knife when you're done, that would be something to see.
