I'm going over to another knifemakers shop this afternoon and Saturday. Gonna show him how to make hawks. He's going to show me some tricks on laminated steel. Should be a hoot. Whatya got goin on?

I hate to say it but this is shaping up as a domestic weekend. I still have polishing to do and I'm not into it, so will apply some timely displacement behavior - and make my wife think her honeydo list is as important as my own list. :D Who says you can't learn something from politicians?

FRIDAY! Yeah-hoo! I can't wait for this day at work to get over. The boss has been a total peckerhead all week because we are getting a safety inspection today. On the home front, it looks like crappy weather in store for me this weekend, but that's okay I have plenty of work to do inside the house too. It's all good! ;)

This weekend is the Saltfork Conference in Perry OK.

Sleeping ina back of truck and B/S'ing (both kinds) all weekend....

Sweany, you mean knife makers are BS'ers at times? What gave you that idea? I just got my wife home from the hospital again. Same as last week. She's doing OK, but I'm sticking pretty close to make sure. I hope to sneak in some shop time between the wife, dogs, and general gofer stuff. No work, usual 3 day weekend, but it's gonna be a ho hum weekend. My boat and rifle will just have to talk to each other this weekend.

This is the weekend to help move the Mills.......He offered to sell me the knee mill for $1,200.00 and it's a bargain, I just can't afford it right now. :grumpy:

Sunday is the usual, odd jobs, clean up, check the trail cams, get my climbers ready.

not much going on for me. I don't archery hunt, so none of that for me. Just wishing it were duck season. :grumpy:

Gonna pick out some pumpkins tonight, drink a few beers, and see what kind of ugly-ass pumpkin I can carve.

The rest is rest, and knifemaking. I gotta get a couple blades done for some fellow forumites.

Everyone have a safe weekend. -- :D

Oh yeah....I almost forgot, I have to assemble the wheel lock action I made for my new knife. That means I finally have a use for my worn out flints. :)

Did an extra cordwrap this week. Think I'll put it up for sale on... For Sale: Fixed Blades. Haven't done any RR spike knives in a while....A spike fell off the work bench and hit me in the foot. I'm going to burn it and beat on it and maybe it will look like a knife when I'm done.
O yea...more belly keys, lanyards and leashes to go with them.
Mark...I came across that knife I started when we got together this summer. Maybe I'll work on that too.
Supposed to do more on the ceramic tile floor in the basement :barf:
Got class tonight...going to hit somebody. I'm playing attacker in the self defense part....They keep telling me I'm not supposed to win.

Went bow hunting this morning, no luck. Then I met up with my hunting buddy later in the morning and we double checked our smokepoles, shooting off a few rounds. Shot the bull with the farmer/landowner where we hunt for a few hours. Knife work this weekend along with my regular job. Next week I will have the end of the week off for the long awaited muzzleloader season. :D Have a good weekend guys. ;)

I'm not bowhunting this year Scott. the state decided to let a movie company use my bow hunting area through the fall. I don't understand why they can't make a movie about Jamestown in Jametown instead of 30 miles away. :grumpy:

The new muzzleloader is sighted in and ready to go. All the stands are oiled and ready to hang. I cheated and used trail cams and know where the deer are

and
the seasons just around the corner... :) :) :) :) :) :)

Not much going on for me this weekend. I've got a bunch of S30V blades to do the filework on and get ready to send out for heat treating. I think that'll be it for knifemaking this weekend. Winter is here to stay for us I think and I've still got a bunch of things to get done around the house that should have been done before winter hit so.....

If you listen real hard you guys might be able to hear my wife nagging me from down where you live!

Have a good weekend.

Trail cams hmmmmm..... I'd like to try that. I'd be afraid of theft. Even though I hunt private property, there is still a chance of them being stolen. Had a treestand swiped once on a private farm. Alot of yuppie city slicks moving all around. They have a hissy fit when they get behind a combine or hear a gunshot, chesssh. Too bad about your bow hunting area, seems to be the trend everywhere. Fortunately I have two farms, about 600 acres to hunt, 10 to 15 min. from my house with lots of deer. :D I have several knives to test this year. Good luck, hopefully I'll have a story for next Fridays post.

Had a blast over at my knife making friends place. We forged up an inserted bit type hawk and then proceeded to making some laminate. Going back this morning and weld up a few more billets.

Grasshoppa; Look at it this way It only can improve your looks. :p :D ;)
No wonder it's been so quiet around here.

Moving day for my friend. I have never seen as many guns in one place including museums. I also hurt from my hair down..... :barf:

I cannot believe someone can build that many guns and do it so well and still have any kind of life!

Anyway, we didn't even come close to finishing so I'm going back tomorrow.
