Man, what a tough battle with Houston! Glad that one is over, and now we can head to Boston. Go Cards! :D

Go Birds! I've been a Cardinals fan ever since I got my first radio. It's all the fault of KMOX, Harry Carrey and Jack Buck. Hooked me for life.

what a great year for mlb

two great series...the only way it could be better if it was cubs/ cards going seven instead of houston...oh .... and the cubs win

like that will happen in my lifetime :(

Though not a big baseball fan myself, the wife is. It's been entertaining sitting in the computer room listening to her scream, curse, groan, and finally cheer over the last week or so.
Poor puppy kept thinking he was in trouble....hehe.

Danbo! I came so close to calling you last nite and laffin!!!

Heck, the nite before I called my bro in New Jersey... He was asleep and wasn't, apparently, very excited nor upset at the Yanks loss...

And St. Louis ain't doin' too bad on the football front, either!

My honest opinion(sorry if this offends any Boston fans) is that Houston was as tough as a baseball team gets. I really don't see Boston's lineup as anywhere near as tough as Biggio, Beltran, Bagwell, Berkman, etc...

Plus, Schilling is still hurt, and Pedro ain't the pitcher he used to be. St. Louis in 5 games.

In my perfect fantasy world, the Cubs would be facing the Bo-sox in the world series with the Cubs winning in a sweep. Yeah, right... keep on dreaming!
I'm not quite sure who I'm going to root for in this World Series... hard to root for the Cardinals, half the time would like to see the Bo-sox break their curse and the other half wants them to continue to suffer their curse.

I believe that this will be a tough series. Danbo, shall we make this a little wager for some reasonable stakes (knife of course) and/or donation to winner's favorite charity? (By little, I don't mean that Zowada that you found on ebay--I'm not confident enough to put something up against that.)

Gosh, I don´t know whom to root for either, I do think the Cardinals can win, but maybe Boston should do it, they´ve waited long enough and they could use winning as an excuse to get a haircut.

In my fantasy world the Mexico city Red Devils would be in the Majors and in the World Series (hey, I can dream too), or maybe the New York Highlanders vs. The Boston Bean Eaters.

Somebody's gotta say GO SOX. This is the series I hoped for, but now I'm a little afraid of getting what I hoped for. The Cards looked awefully good.

If reasonably healthy, I think that the Sox pitching is what is going to give them a bit of an edge in the series. Both lineups can light up the scoreboards, thats for sure.

And, both teams have pitchers that are injured. The Cards have their best pitcher(Carpenter) unavailable for the whole series. :(

Oh, it will be a tough series allright. I just think the Cards will win a little easier than the Houston series.
