Hi all update well my personal update, my custom knife just got laser-ed out, accordingly he didn't have time to cut it out since he has large clientele. It is waiting for heat treatment and sharpening, he asked what kind of grind and I told him flat grind since I liked the clean look of my current BK-11! And so, what is the difference with flat grind and hollow grind? When it's done pics will be up!

Now on the other hand, I'm having a sweet spot for knives with stag grips! I spoke about it with my knife maker whom is a close long time person I know. It is funny because he hasn't even completed the first order yet, I asked him about stag style bowie knives he said "sure!" At first I didn't like stag antler gripped knives but I'm becoming very fond of it, I was thinking before I go all out and place another order on a custom large style bowie knife with stag, antler gripped style knives what are your thoughts on this knife from amazon?

I understand that custom stag large bowie knives will cost up to $100-200-300 so don't bash me on this, but has anyone heard, have experience on that amazon knife?:confused:
 
Silver stag makes some real nice stag bowie knives. A buddy of mine and his dad have one. They look and perform great.

Hmmm he didn't ask you first? Maybe it's just me but if I was expecting a hand ground and cut blade and the maker decided to laser cut the blade, I'd be a little peeved. Makes it more of a midtech than a custom, at least in my opinion it does.

As for the knife in the link, it's a $50 knife expect about $50 quality.
 
I scrapped this idea of a budget stag knife, went with a BK-2 looking to get a stag custom later on.
