I have searched this site as well as several other online law resources and can find little info on Ohio knife laws.

Has anyone here checked into them in any detail?

I'm specifically interested in Balisong ownership, carry etc. Also, Autos -can I own them? can I carry them?

Regular folding knives- are there size restrictions? Is carrying clipped in a pocket considered concealed carry?

All I can find says that "destructive devices" are illegal. I can't find squat about knives.

Thanks very much for any info you have.

Greg, autos (as well as gravity knives), by state law, are relegated to LE only.

Most others (Balisong-style, etc.)are governed by local ordinances.

Any knife, carried as a weapon, will invoke the concealed weapon laws, as well as some weapon possession laws.

Carried as a tool, ????

I asked a friend who is a Lt. on the Franklin County Sheriff's Office the same questions you asked, and got the above answers.

Hope this helps.
Mike
