I was re-reading the Ohio knife laws because I've been EDCing fixed blades more recently lately and I've been trying to figure out what exactly is legal.

One thing I noticed is the 2.5 inch limit for the Cleveland Heights area. Hadn't heard of that before. Carried many an Endura with me up that way in the past. *shrug*
It says, as I read it, that you can't knowlingly have a concealed weapon on you. Does that mean you can have a weapon on you if you openly carry it? Does it mean you can carry whatever knife you want concealed as long as you're carrying it as an EDC for utility uses and not as a weapon?
For example, if I carry a fixed blade attached to my belt horizontally and my shirt covers it up, is it then considered a concealed weapon? Even if it's not being carried as a weapon?
Not that I get myself into situations where I'm having to explain my EDC to an angry cop, but I figure I'd try to keep my EDC legal.
