Who, besides me, wants to see the ohio show back?

Thatmguy was great to talk to. He was always able to get me to part with the cash and be happy about it.

Stuff I never would have bought online.

Thanks for your time at the shows M.

Maybe someday again.

I'd like to see one in VA or MD! :)

The great state of Ohio has so many badass knives:

Busse
Swamp
SYKCO
Lt wright
Battle horse
Peter winkler

I'm sure there are more

Mike isn't doing the shows anymore? What did I miss?

Disregard, found the thread.

Ohio has got Hinderer, too. A very knifey state.

I wish Busse came out to the OKCA show in Eugene! It's happening in 5 days, maybe get some idea of what those mystery bags might contain...

Things change. Companies evolve. The business model adapts, if they're smart.

While I wasn't a regular at the Columbus Show, I did visit occasionally, and very much enjoyed the chance to hang with Mike, and meet other fans. That was then, this is now.

With Operation Two Weeks, access to Bussekin knives has NEVER been better for their far-flung fans.

Enjoy it now; this too will change.

Never went to it when it was in Columbus but I went many years when Koval was running it in SE Ohio.

Also don't forget DDR and his various enterprises. I know a lot of smaller makers and blacksmiths from a lifetime of being a resident, including myself. Ohio loves knives [emoji4]

Yup, and my guess is right before Blade in Atlanta

who did make it to Columbus when busse used to sell knives in ohio?

Hammy is seriously good people. Honestly, he was (more than) half the reason I went to the gun shows 'round here.

I don't think it's coming back... but man, it was always nice. He's the reason that I have a Busse addiction.

Yet our knife laws are ridiculous. Still makes no sense to me why we can't carry a fixed blade concealed with a concealed handgun license. Lots of fixed blade makers in a state where you almost never see anyone carrying one. State rant off, sorry.

I never made it to Columbus but the guys made it to Dayton a few times and I saw them there.

totally agree. It would be hard to argue in court that the knife is a weapon when we are packing 11rds of 9mm.

I didn't know Winkler was based out of Ohio. Good stuff. I would go to one of those shows you guys are talking about. NY to Ohio--prob. a 12 hr drive thereabouts but well worth it.
