Case in point. I've had this 'un for a while and since the weather was nice I thought I'd snap some pix:

You got my attention with your thread name Mikeymoto.
What a cool nugget of a stag slipjoint that is!

I do like Hiroaki's work. That's a purty one!

Chunky lit'l feller - I like it. Ohta is one of my favorite slippie makers and I try to keep an eye on his work, but that pattern's a new one on me.

On a smaller (length) frame like that,a little width is good,it gives a small knife,a "bigger knife" feel Not everyone wears slacks
A great combo of two blade profiles,as well
Its sweeet

At 4 oz. it's no featherweight. I'm not complainin', I'm just sayin'. I like the width and the heft, and the stag offers excellent grip. Oh and it looks good. :D

I think thats the first one of his knives I have seen that didn't have a bar shield.
Any idea when that one was made?

I ordered it from him earlier last year and he finished it in August '09. It has a brother too. :D A two blade barlow with acorn shield.

Closed length 3.5"

That is one sweet Otha Mike:thumbup:

You don't see many of his without the Bar shield, thats for sure. I don't recall seeing very many of his with two blades, bolster and a cap either.
I've seen them, but have seen many more with just a single blade, bar shield, and bolster.
