This knife was made for a fellow Soldier that is serving in Iraq. He is part of the 82D Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. Which is where I will end up back to by the end of this year.
The blade is a hand forged blade of 5160 that has been double quenched. It supports a distal tapered false edge for maximum penetration. The handle is from a deer that he shot with synthetic spacer material, leather and brass spacers. Everything is hand made by me and I also do my own heat treating.
This is my first time posting a pic and hope it does get posted. It seems hard to make sure everything is under 100 kb. Any ideas or words of wisdom, please share.
I am a part time maker and Active Duty Soldier (Army) that is finishing up Nursing School this year, hopefully. I am also making instructional videos with Kim Breed and Gary Wheeler. They have been not only Great Friends, but also great teachers.
Thanks
