-clayton
i use break free until i can find somethin else

Militec-1 rules!
use it on my knives and weapons.
put it on and shoot it, or add a little heat (hairdryer works fine) and it does even better.
cheers,

Why extra virgin olive oil of course !!!
Seriously, I agree with Derek. The Militec is great, before I used the Militec I also used Rem Oil which is also nice.
Just as a side note: Rem Oil smells great !!! Quite addictive :)
Donald.

I've recently gone to a fine mixture of 'Molly' and Rem oil for lube. Tuff Cloth on all metal for exterior protection.

I have used BreakFree CLP exclusively on my Benelli, Bushmaster, Glocks and Sig for over three years now. And having used BreakFree CLP on knives for about the same length of time and nothing appears to be slicker on a knife.

I am trying Militec-1 with a hairdryer that can get a knife so hot that you cannot touch it. I have tried it on a Sebenza and a few other things with zero difference. In fact, it is not "slicker" than BreakFree CLP at this point.

However, Chuck Gollnick states that it takes two or three heated applications of Militec-1 before you see the miracle results. Time will tell as I re-apply and re-heat some things.

I do not know what the pivot washer is constructed of, in an EKI Knife, so I don't know if it can be heated or not.

The one thing I would stay away from are greases like White Lightning. It is trash in a knife. They are dirt magnets.

CLP is great stuff too-it really gets to the point of "what's the difference"-any quality based, synthetic with moly or teflon will easily do the job-on knives or firearms. With shooting, however, I have noticed militec-1 to make cleaning easier.
If you're into grease, you get a lifetimes supply (i'm not kidding) for about $8.
I'm the worlds worst and trying different lubes (for weapons that is)got a shoebox full of 'em-tetra (oil and grease), fp10, tw-25b, wilsons (oil and grease), sentry solutions tuf glide and smooth Kote, rem oil (always my least favorite-evaps too fast) Breakfree CLP and LP, Mpro7 lube (good stuff as well-does not evaporate easy) and lord knows what else.
the militec-1 is the current latest and greatest, but I'm sure something else will come along!
cheers,
Derek
