I accidentally dropped my Thesius into some waste motor oil when working on my car. According to Medford, getting oil in the joints voids the warranty. Did I just ruin my knife?

Dang...I thought this was gonna be a knife porn thread ! 🤪

Not sure if the OP is serious or not. But Medford has "loosened" his restrictions on warranty quite a bit over the years. At one time it is true that any disassembly would potentially void the warranty that is most certainly not the case anymore; Greg just doesn't want some garage knife-smith tweaking his products. Oiling the knives is not an issue.

Oil in the joints voids the warranty? BS.
Greg may have changed on this, but that is one of the things that made him controversial. He uses some high-end lube that lasts a lifetime, but if other petroleum products get int the knife, it ruins this lube.

Here it is with its fancier brother... This one barely leaves my pocket...

I wouldn't want that ruined knife if you sent it to me, just try and see. Need my address?
