Mora and my SAK. the tools of the woods. I took the sak and made a hole through the main branch. that way I could gun some string through it. I then found a really bendy branch and timberline hitched it to the other stick. then you make a slip knot and put it through the main hole in the branch. You put tension on the bendy branch and put a false limb in the hole to hole the string in place. the idea is for a bird to land on the false branch, it then falls away causing the slip knot to catch the bird's leg.

Very cool! Is your false branch a little long? Also, I was told to trim the tree so it leave few choices for the bird to choose it's landing perch. Very well done though!
