I've got 11 pages of knife pics in my File Upload Manager. I would like to clean it out, delete several of them that are no longer relevant. How do I do this? I read the sticky, don't see anything. Help....

I can't get rid of mine either. I've seen it brought up here a time or two and it remains a mystery.

karda, that link only lets you delete stuff uploaded before spark changed to the new vbulletin software. i have pictures uploaded that i'm not able to delete no matter what i do.

Yeah even if you delete them as an attachment they stay in your file upload manager as thumbnails.
I can't figure out how to delete them from there.

Yes, I guess I should've rephrased my question as 'How do you delete thumbnails permanently?'

i did a search but all i found was how to delete the users accounts and all of its contents.

I asked about this a long time ago. Apparently, you can't. Since I realized that, I use a host to post pictures. It takes a little more effort, but they are not
engraved in stone.

when i bought my membership i remember reading that i had like 3 megs of storage for pictures, what happens when that limit is reached?

if you mean the ones in your attachments in settings, you check the box of the one you want deleted and click delete. if you mean the ones in the manager when you are going to make a post, i'm trying to find that out myself but there is something i'm missing.

Yes, that is what I mean. I want to clear out my file manager, old pics of knives either sold or no longer relevant taking up pages for nothing.

i even went to vbulletins website and all the info there is outdated. they need to update their info to go along with their updated software.

i'm trying something out to see if i can delete uploaded pictures from the file manager. i did another search to see find a way to delete them but nobody had the answer.

Please post and let us know if you discover how to delete pics from file upload manager. That'd be great, and thanks.

Seemed pretty straight forward, I clicked in the upper right corner of the web page Settings
Then scrolled down to Miscellaneous and clicked on Attachments

It should bring a list of all the images you have attached in BladeForums

Select the ones you want to delete by clicking the check box on the side and then hit the delete button.

I tried this on a few and they were deleted as were the images in the associated thread that I had placed them.

Yes, this is true. But now go back to your upload File Manager and, behold, all of those deleted pics are right there in front of you.

Ah, that suks and is weird, all at the same time, sorry I couldn't help in this case!

Google search came up with this idea, that if you don't ALSO remove what they called the asset from the post, it would be the cause for the image to come back to life and not be cleared out all together. That might be hard to locate if you used it in more than one post?
