we did losing knives...so what is the best knife you ever found, inside outside free good deal whatever....:p

A Buck Special. Sometime back in the 80's. 30 minutes later I threw it at a tree and it broke. Ooops!:grumpy:

When my Dad passed away several years ago I was visiting my Mom and helping to sort stuff out. I came across a Kutmaster electricians knife that had always played a part in my Dads projects. When my Mom asked if I wanted it, I sort of hemmed and hawed then agreed to take it:D There is nothing quite like having Dads knife;)

manager at work found a spydie wegner jr, sold it to me for 50cdn...

4 trades later on the same set(trade, and then trade that same one on) I got a spyderhawk, bfc #51... was: wegner jr ce(#161 I think), Q standard pe, green salsa #135v, and then the blue hawk...

traded a free Camel hat for a KABAR 110-style
got an opinel for giving someone a buzz cut
bought a bucktool off of a crackhead for 10 bucks, with sheath.

Easy it would have to be the

Kelly Carlson IronWood Falcon I won on the Forum. Thankx again to Gabe and to Kelly.

That's easy!

A year ago Yiterp GAVE me a CRKT Ryan Blan B black-coated neck knife like new just out of the goodness of his heart. He had it up for trade and I wanted it. I kept offering him this and that for it but didn't have anything he wanted. Finally, he felt sorry for me and told me to send him a few bucks for shipping and that I could HAVE it!

I've never forgotten that. I keep it as a reminder of what kind of people knife people can be, but also because I simply love the knife.

Last month I wore it all over Alaska and used the hell out of it! More than any other knife I brought with me by far! :D

ok, if we're talking deals, not just found...

I have a FRN/SE Endura(98 model, ats-55, no dent) for christmas 02 from Allen Treat. still rides in my left front pocket. has yet to go a full day out of it. Might take it out to cycle something else for work once in a while, but always have the endura as soon as I get home.

Also have an old slipjoint from T Erdelyi, cost my an american 2cents... buck canadian with conversion.

also have my dad's old slipjoint.

I found a SOG Powerplier at the top of an ice climb in Banff National Park once. Gave it to my climbing partner because he led all of the scary pitches and without his efforts, we wouldn't have made it to the top. He still has it.

Good find! Sog multi-tools are the best. I would have given it to him too in your situation.

When I was in Alaska recently I kept trying to give knives to my buddy's uncle that was our "guide" but he never accepted and swore that if I ever sent him one he's send it right back to me! There was some serious hospitality there!

It's nice that you were able to "thank" the guy with a good gift like that.

I found a Gerber Guardian at a National Guard base once. The smaller size with about a 4" blade. No Sheath though.

Best deal ever. My dad worked on a car for someone, he gave my dad a Leatherman, my dad gave it to me. Had it about 8 years now. It will not die, no matter how hard I try to kill it. :D

Mine would be a swedish MORA knife my friend gave it to me and there aint no better fixed blade for the price unless you get a insnae deal or make your own knives like myself

AHA!! Just last night! Found a cheapo chinese folder w/ a "nekkid woman" graphic on the plastic scales. Looks like one of the knives you find advertised in Parade magazine- found it (and a cool Zippo) when we confiscated a company van from a crackhead ex-employee. Mucho drama. Also, (circa 1983) I found a Schrade lockback- like the Buck 110 on a beach once- a girl took it & I never saw it again.

Pakistani Lockback (on seat of school bus in elementary school).

No-Name, Cheap-o, Marbles style Sheath knife (also on seat of school bus in elelmentary school).

It must sound like I went to a pretty rough elelmentary school, but I went to an upper-middle class elementary school on Long Island...go figure!!!

a spyderco dragonfly (g-2 blade, FRN handle) i got about 10 years ago. i was at an acquaintance's house for school, and looking at it, and really dug it. he gave it to me, because he didn't care for it! i offered him 10 bucks for it that i never got the chance to talk to him again to repay him.
