Ok, guys, while we really appreciate the generous offers from everyone, again, we really don't want handouts. We'd rather that you guys get something physical in return that you can show off to your friends, etc.

One of the ideas that Mike and I have tossed around is that of the BladeForums.com Buyers Club - where members get killer deals on knives each month. You guys get cool knives for dirt cheap, and get to help keep your mostest favoritist site open at the same time.

<a href="http://www.bladeforums.com/images/cam-886.jpg"><img src="http://www.bladeforums.com/images/cam-886_sm.jpg" height="48" width="200" border="0" align="right"></a>In that vien, we've struck a deal with Camillus for one of their classic knives - the Camillus 886, pictured at right. Camillus has discontinued this line and replaced it with the Camillus model 9, which is why we've been able to get a great deal on these more expensive knives.

The Camillus 886 features nickel silver bolsters and pins, a significant upgrade from the standard brass bolsters and fittings, as nickel silver is much more scratch and tarnish resistant. The pivot pin is also made of stainless steel, compared to the brass pivot pins of similar competitor models. The handle scales are laminated hardwood, polished to a high luster.

The 3.5" clip point blade is made of 440A, and opens by means of a thumb groove / nail pick - overall length of the knife is 8.5" open, 4.125" closed.

These knives typically retailed for $46.95, but we are able to bring them to you for the low price of $24.99.

Because of the nature of this sale, we will be taking orders for 2 weeks before we place our final order with Camillus. The knives will be delivered 4 weeks after that - so look for the knives to be delivered to you by the middle to end of August.

PRODUCT: CAM-886 -- Was $46.99, <font color="#FF0000"> Now $24.99</font> -----<a href="http://onestopknifeshop.com/cgi-bin/sc/order.cgi?storeid=onestopknife&dbname=products&itemnum=1672&function=add">[Add to Cart]</a>

Just ordered mine, too. Hope this helps out! That Camillus looks like a perfect first folder for the young one.

Thanks to both of you, Mike and Spark. I'll be glad to contribute in any way I can to keep this great place up and running.

PS
If everyone just bought a hat, say 6,000 members, at $14.99 they would realize almost $90,000 in sales volumne and I ordered a hat and really don't much wear one but added it to my order of other stuff just cause it's neat!

So come on everybody, at least get a hat!
G2 out....

I am in, I ordered the knife, cap, bag, and one insert. I had been intending to order the cap and bag but kept putting it off, now I have them all coming.

My Christmass shopping is almost done.

I am working on another way you can help us out and get something in return.

It will take me a day or so to put it together but like the Discover card does I have a way to not only pay you back for a portion of your own purchases but I have figured out a w ay to make each member an associate of BFC-1SKS.

You will be able to get a percentage back on all of your purchases and those of anyone you send to us. The pay back will be in the form of a credit in which you will get about 1% of your accounts sales back in the form of a credit towards a future purchase. So if you stated right now, by Christmas you might have several FREE knives coming your way!

More info later as I am testing the software right now. I told you guys to stay tuned

That may not be a bad idea Mike! There is a chain of stores in Canada called Mountain Equipment Co-Op and you have to buy a share in the company to buy anything there. It costs $5 once and you get a vote and you even get a percentage credit deal type thing that you are talking about. Because of the co-op, the prices there are rreal cheap. I picked up a carbon steel D.H. Russell belt knife (#1) for $50 Canadian!!!
