Greetings and salutations all. I'm starting to upgrade my tastes in blades from folders to fixed-blades (my wallet is already screaming). Having stayed in the production fold for the most part, this is one of my first forays into the semi/full custom arena. I've started a love affair with large fixed blades, which naturally led me to Busse Combat.

Here is where the reason of the post takes over....How does this ordering thing work with Busse? As stated before, I'm really kicking the big blades, but according to the Busse website, the largest model they offer is the Satin Jack (6"). To be quite frank, although I'm sure it's a great knife, it's not quite in the size range I'm looking for. From a previous thread, I guess that Busse works in model and handle runs. Model being Satin Jack, Assault Shaker, etc, and the handle referring to Ergonomic (E) and Straight Handled (SH). I know that everyone here already knows what all this means, but it helps me to say all this so you can follow my train of thought (right over the mountain crashing into the valley below).

Basically, when will the new models start being offered (please say Battle Mistress, pretty please), what will they be, and new handle info would be great (read something about ?Fusion?). A previous post I read said that only 2 models were left...so does that mean that the new model lines should be coming to fruition soon?

If you've managed to read this much, then be heartened, for you are done. Thanks for being patient, and any feedback would be great.

A knife is more than a blade.

Welcome to the Addiction!

The new combat line will be unleashed at the Blade show in June. Ordering standard models is done via, phone or internet, Variants customs, limited runs are something of a beat the buzzer frantic e-mail race to Jerry via the E-mail address. E-handles are the ergo style handles with the drop in the middle, SH are straight handles like the one seen on the Satin Jack and older combat line.

Welcome to the Busse forum, glad you stopped by.

As FOS said the new line will probably be out soon :D

The SH line was before the Ergo line, both are now discontinued.

Stick around and ask plenty of questions, we don't mind and I'm sure there are others out there with the same ones :D:D

Welcome to the Isle of Infiction Pfain;) :D

Keep an eye out for the Blade Show updates, otherwise just drive north for a while to play in the slop with the rest of us!:D :p

Jerry ginds big blades?

Oh.... wait a minute... I knew that.:p

So... you like big blades, huh? And you think you can afford to get into the deep end of the pool? Well my friend, you have found your destination! Busse Combat is the king of big blade makers. If you are looking for the ergo models, look around on the forum's for sale listings, e-bay, or last I heard ShomerTec still had some available. If on the other hand, you (and your wallet) can stand the suspense of waiting a couple of weeks, the new line will be released at the Blade Show. Jerry promises me good things about the new line and I am looking forward to it, as is every other aspiring INFI hog here on the forums.:D

If you are really looking to spend some cash, there are some of the straight handled models available at Blade Art.

In any case, welcome to the Busse forum, there is one at the Busse Combat site as well.

Welcome Pfain:

All I did was buy a few knives, then I found myself living in the garage. See you on the GARAGEFORUMS BB!:D

howdy and welcome pfain!

wait for the new line to arrive in a few weeks, it will be worth it:cool:

and if you can't wait check the for sale forums daily or Ehog, there is usually something nice up for grabs.

sounds to me like you need a new battle mistress:cool: :D :D

nuke on!!

What on earth are you guys talking about with all this ordering stuff??
You just go out of town for awhile, and Busses appear upon your return!
;) :D :D

I'd say wait, pfain---in a couple weeks Jerry will unveil his new creations, and I don't think you'll have any size complaints. I mean, Jerry is already doing 3/8 inch thick small utility knives, so imagine what's in store!!! :)
