Howard and Bri,
Thanks for the nice welcome. I suspect most everyone here is just as hospitable. The "little" 15" is a nice substitute for a hatchet. Just love the ability to hack, slice and stab with such a versatile tool. I want to use this knife for everything I would use a small hatchet for - fuzz sticks, sharpening hot dog/marshmallow cooking sticks, light chopping of wood, and splitting thinner kindling. Gave up on hand sharpening and sent it to a buddy to have slack belt sharpened the proper way.
Picked up a 17.5 WWII today! My sons want me to buy the 44" monster that SethMurdock is selling. Think I will work up to that one.
Wonder how many khukuris each HI forum frequenter has, on average
Learning some good stuff on this forum about horn handle care. Must read more!
