Ok, I have decided BM 707 Sequel over the BM 813

I like smaller/slimmer/lighter knives and the the I find the 707 to be very attractive.

This one is going to replace my BM Leopard Cub that I have carried for almost about 8 years. I snapped the tip off.

While I am sure I was getting a good deal on the BM 813 numbered knife, its just a bit bigger and heavier. Also since its number 400 something of a 1000, I don't want to feel self conscious about using it.

BM 813. This one doesn't have the stone washed blade, but only pic I could find.

I am also going to be pairing the 707 with a Spyderco Cricket that will be used as a money clip.

What are you telling us? :D :D The Sequel is a great choice and the 813 has had its time. It is out of production isn´t it?

As i have handled the 705 in a passaround and really enjoyed the little thing i expect, you will enjoy the 707 too.

What is more interesting about your post: Could you please show us a picture of an 8 years old BM folder? You see, most of the knives mentioned here are less than two years old, so any granpa edc is welcome!:D

Great choice on the 707, I EDC one. Great knife, hope to see the 710 updated with the 707 in mind.

As for carrying numbered knives, I also switch the Sequel out sometimes with a Ritter mini Grip that is numbered. Don't worry about carrying numbered knives, they're made to be carried!

I may be a hypocrite about carrying knives though, I can't bring myself to carry my small Sebenza with micarta scales.

love mine, I think it's the perfect size for me:

Blop.

I guess I am saying this because I am such an anal, wishy washy, tightwad of a shopper and now that I have made the decision, i feel relief and just had to post!

The 813 is out of production, but I have/had a chance to pick one up.

You can find goo pics of the BM 612S, the Leopard Cub, here.

I really wanted the one with walnut scales and the D2 blade. But I couldnt justify the expenditure at the time they where available.
