Well as you all know from Sam's Keltec 2000 post I just rounded out my stable with a nice AR10. Well I went into the Gun store earlier this week and was seeing what was happening. As I walked in the door the Owner said "Do I have a deal for you". Well as it went the previous owner of my new AR10 had purchased 2 AR10's. One in the long target version (the one I bought) and a shorter carbine version. He took the bolt out of the Carbine to use in the target rifle. When he brought the guns in no one noticed. So as they were going through they discovered the bolt was missing. Well the gun is pretty worthless without the bolt. So they offered it to me for a ridiculously low price. This thing was never even fired. So needless to say, here they are. My "old" AR10 on the left and the New one on the right. Now I just need to either buy a bolt or swap it out when I want to shoot the other gun. I also got the sight for the old one and she is ready to shoot. Oh I just have too much work to do. Maybe next week for my birthday.:D

If you children learned how to shoot you wouldn't need semi-autos or even repeaters !!

Single shots rule !!

There is one exception, I saw a person cured of his illness by firing his Uzi semi-auto.It was hilarious !!

Sam.

One month chip, heck I didn't even make it one WEEK:eek: I will be putting a Trijicon scope on the old one though, so it won't be really plain Jane for long.

Mete. I am a hard core bolt guy myself. I got into the semi's in the Navy with the M14. I was not going to buy any AR's but when I saw the Ruger I fell in love. Then I decided I needed a BU for my .308 bolt. So I held out until I found the first AR10. This last one just kind of fell in my lap and I just could not turn it out in the cold. There were waaay to many waiting to snatch it up. Black guns are VERY addictive. ;):D

Nice addition Chuck. If it were me I'd buy another bolt for it.

I just got my C&R so I'm currently trying to avoid buying everything under the sun that's C&R eligible....Sadly my discretionary money just went into car and truck parts or I'd have a couple things on order already.

Mete, that entirely depends on how many bogeys are coming at you and how fast. :D If the cartels decide to make a 300 mile major incursion into the great state of Texas, I'd like to be ready ;).

Great looking pair AC. I've never gotten into the AR's myself, but that doesn't mean I won't sometime. In fact, my long gun stable (as far as rifles go) needs some work. I've got the pistols and shotguns to do the job, but when you want to reach out and touch something, well, I may just have to see what's at the local shops.... Great, now my wife is REALLY going to be mad at me. :D

I actually did make a frightening concession -- I got a 223 but bolt action, to back up my 45-70 single shot !

Like I mentioned earlier, I was a die hard bolt guy. When I bought the Ruger sr556 I began the long spiral out of black gun control. Well not totally out of control or I would have 2 FN Scars a 16s and a 17s. But at $2500 each plus glass it was a bit too much to swallow. I just love the adaptability of these things. I can modify them to many additional calibers by changing out the upper. So modular and readily changeable. Oh I am drooling again dangit
