First, I am not a knife collector. I only have knives that I intend to use. In fact, the only reason I got my original RC-3 was because my 1973 model Buck skinner got lost when I lent it to a fellow instructor to conduct a class. I did my research and decided that the RC-3 would give me great utility and value for the money...and it did. I love it and it is my EDC, now.
Then I saw all these pictures of the orange/green RC-4 and I started thinking that maybe I should get me one of them things, just for more heavy-duty type activities. I hemmed and hawed and finally decided to go for it and I got my new Texas Tony Orange RC-4 last Thursday, which was just in time for me to take it to the woods and beat the hell out of it for 4 days. Now this is one SERIOUS backwoods instrument and I love IT. It makes the RC-3 almost seem dainty when you hold them side-by-side.
Now, all I want is for the tactical pink Izulas to come out so I can get one or two of them. Remember, I'm not a knife collector. How does this happen? Is it some conspiracy? Is there any hope? Thanks RAT, and I'm sure my wife will thank you, too.
