It has taken me quite some time but I finaly aquired the hunting knife for deer season. It's a Kissing Crane Solingen Germany by Robert Klaas. I have had several Randal knives and they were great but a tad expensive. From the days long ago when I was in my teens I had the Kissing Crane pocket knives by Mr. Klaas. They were very good knives and I expect this fixed blade to be as good. It's carbon steel (or at least the seller said it was not stamped stainless) so it should hone well. I don't have it yet so I'm waiting for the postman. No rust and stag handle. I would have liked a drop point but this clip is not extreme. When the mad money gets longer I'll pay the subscription fee so I can post photos.

To post pictures without a paid membership you need to use a photo hosting site like Imgur.com, it's free and easy (takes a bit of trail and error, but even a techno-dummy like me figured it out).

You create an Imgur account, load pics into your computer, load pics from your computer into your Imgur account, then use the BBCode that appears in the box next to each pic when you click on the pic. At that point I write the BBCode down on a piece of paper and simply type it into my post, and magically the picture appears. I know there's another more techno-savvy way to do it, but like I said, I'm a techno-dummy, and this method works for me (at this point I only need to write down the 7 digit picture code, I have the rest of the code memorized). Imgur also allows you to choose how big the pic will be.

For example, my old Kissing Crane stiletto. Bought in 1986, carried for 15 years.

I’ll try. Nothing ventured nothing gained 👍

I keep posting these instructions hoping they help. Let me know if it is helpful or not.
Here is how I post images. The idea here is to get a link, which you can paste directly into the body of your message. You do NOT need to be a paying member of BF OR create an account with imgur for this to work. Go to Imgur.com, and click on the things I have circled in red below (this is on my ipad - I don’t know if it works exacrly the same on a desktop, but it should be similar):

I have found postimage.org to be SUPER easy from my phone.
Just take your picture, go to postimage.org, select Choose Images, select where it is stashed on your phone, tape the second option down "direct link", it will auto copy it.
Here on the forum, just tap the little insert image icon (looks like a little painting of a mountain and a sun/moon). Click the little link and paste in your pic. not too bad :)

Honestly, I'd spring for a paid membership, especially if you plan on posting more than this single photo. The cost is like $60, maybe less, I forget, and then it is SO easy to post photos directly to your comment. And you can sell on the Exchange, just in case you want to.

I’ll give it a try tonight but with my computer skills I want hold my breath. I’ve been watching the local schools for night class on computers.
The BBCode looks like this -
Code:

Just copy it from the host site and paste it here in the response box. Make sure it has the IMG tags when you paste it here.

That’s what I do and it’s dead simple.

Not trying to sell anything just show a few knives I’ve acquired. Nothing as fancy as I’ve seen but interesting anyway

Yes, and postimages isn't as politically charged as imgur. I try to avoid imgur like the plague. Doesn't matter one bit for photo postings to BF, but still...

$30 for a Gold membership and he can upload photos from his computer as long as the byte size isn't too high.
