Hey Folks,
I had the bug bad and just had to get the kydex sheath done today, so here it is. The body is an OD green and the section the holds my SAK and Dymond stone is a tan. It has an adjustable nylon webbing leg strap and a green chap leather belt loop. I am so glad to have this setup done, after using the AK the past few days I have all the faith in the world that it will not let me down in a pinch. I am a believer!:D I plan on using this as my main setup for years to come...now I just gotta find the time to hit the woods!;)

Damn that looks great. I'm working on one now and I hope it turns out half as well as yours.

Thanks folks, it sure has been a lot of fun! This place has been very helpful for me, the info and experience here is unbeatable!

Now you have added to the great knowledge base by showing us the awesome handlemaking method you used. Plus a great looking survival rig to go with it.:D

Great mods! and bouncing your ideas off the forum may lead to someone else having an epiphany.

As the Borg might say, "technological distinctiveness will be added to our own"!

Hi,

How and what did you re-handle your AK with? It looks like something I have been thinking of doing too. The stock wood handle does not fit my hand and it cuts into it often on the end. I wish they made a longer handle that was comfortable right from the shop.

Nice rig too...great idea!

Best,

Joe

you need to make these to order... hint

Thanks for the complements folks! I would love to make some sheaths but right now I am way too backed up with knife orders. If I get caught up I will be glad to upgrade my membership and give it a go!;)
Take care,
Jim
