thanks Mark for closing my thread im sure that i took up mega space on that thread .
i had no idea that i was doing some thing that far out of the rules. i was only stating a fact . and im sure i dont consider that im not a paying member when i support the drives and help or the promotions that this forum has from time to time ----but i will from now on ,thanks for setting me streaght --- look me up at the blade show i sure would like to meet you face to face . BOWIE

Taking up space is not the issue. Advertising what you will be selling at Blade is the issue. The owner of this forum sets the rules and they are inforced by myself and Mr. Ralph. Dont feel like you are getting picked on. This happens all the time.

I'm quite sure that everyone appreciates any support for drives and promotions that you help with.

Sorry I cant be at Blade this year, maybe we can arrange to cross paths some other time.

Being that this is off-topic. E-mail me if you feel the need to discuss this further.

thanks Mark if your that close come on down -over -up what ever it might be, we will let you see some tricks with the press that im sure you will be happy with .
Most that get to use a press are amazed at what can be done with it . Shamefully stretching your kindness as far as i can .

I'd love to come see one of your presses in action. I use one at Jim Arbuckles house quite a bit that he built. Only complaint I have about most presses is that I'm 6'1" and stooping over kills my back. I'll be setting up shop in my barn and have a very high roof. Id like to put one up on a stand to where I'm shoulder level with the dies. Any reason why that wouldn't work?

Personally, Mark, I think that's a good idea. Setting a Claiborne press up on a RR tie platform would be nice for working upright. The top of my lower die on my Duncan C-frame is at 51". Mr. Spine would be a lot happier if it were at 55 or even more. I'm 6'3".
 
mark claiborne builds his presses to be able to go under a standard hieght doorway but the are built ,if one wants .to place on blocks they can .

My Gosh, IG-ster may have taken the shot...but then he apologized....he must be mellowing because, among other things. he has rented the space upstairs to those Rice Burner Riders (I ride a Silverwing and Harley riders haven't waved back for several years now and haven't got a t-shirt as a gift since my FatBoy went to a better home in 2003)...

I can see it now....IG on a 12000 rpm, 206 mph rice rocket.......running the full redline and cutting his tennants rent for a ride at 200 plus!!!!

by the way. Fitzo, if I can do it, without doing permanent damage, Bowie can hold IG down, I'll take you piggy-back, and we could crush that poor skinny feller with something close to 600 lbs, I guesstimate....and heck I'm only 5'9-1/2 " and 35 lbs lighter than my max at 307......:D

IG, I hate to admit I "hain't" had none o your relish. Habaneros/ blue cheese/ and Stoli is my beverage of choice...How do I get some of that fine stuff?
Please let me know.......I may be incouragable and incurrable and in-other things....but I'l share it with my Father-In-Law and he useta to be able to eat anything if it was seasoned hot enough!!!!!

Since Bowie is not exactly skinny either, I propose that we do the following:
should the 4 of us ever be at the same place, we can draw straws to see who will engage IG in conversation. I know, I know, someone will have to sacrifice himself to that foul breath for the Cause! Then the other two of us can blindside him at the obliques on the run and we'll squish that hairball in a classic hammer-and-anvil move. Oozing grease and habenero, we can stuff him onto a jar or ten (he's not exactly fit and trim either) and sell him as HT paste. Come to think of it, two jars may be sufficient because there's little substance and a lot of hot air there.:D

That's cool about the weight loss, John! I have lost about 20 in the last month and am going to try and keep it going. I only have 110 left!! LOL I am happily surprised at how quickly I returned to old ways of eating a lot less and not missing it.

That is sad to hear about the Harley riders no longer waving. I always hated that, and waved to riders regardless of what bike they were on.
