Nam has graciously donated a Mad Dog ATAK for our raffle tonight. I have the tickets laid out all over my desk and we are ready for the drawing. Only Nam can choose the number so please do not try to select a number. The number will be matched against my tickets. If the winning number does not appear on a ticket then I will pick the closest number. In the event of a tie I will ask Nam to select another number.

The reason you may not get the correct number, even though I will be giving Nam the number ranges is because we used tickets pulled from a roll. SOme of these tickets where bought last week before the end of last weeks drawing. Good luck!

OK Nam I need a number between 6159085 and 6159188

So basically I need a number between 85 and 188.

67!

I WON! I WON! I WON!

(didn't I?)

Promising that my New Year's Resolution will be to read posts more carefully, I remain,
VG - The Christmas Gerbil

------------------
Vampire Gerbil: Nosferatus Rodentus Moderatus; similar to a domestic gerbil, except for the odd accent and little black cape.

Nam may not be available. So the next person to pick a number between 85 and 188 will be picking the winner. So let's go!

Also we should all thank Nam for donating this knife. It is in no way a cheap knife and in fact I like the Mad Dog ATAK myself. So who is gonna get it

Congrats to Nick Ward you win! Your knife will go out monday.

Thanks again to Nam Viet Vo for dontating the knife for this raffle, you are da man!

I also want to thank Nam for helping with my 7" test of the Mad Dog -vs- ATAK for the January issue of To the Point!

Look for the results of that test in the upcoming issue and Nick will be getting the very knife we tested! Chips, Nothces and all

Just kidding Nick

The knife came thorugh just fine but you will notice some wear on your edge and you will see first hand the results of our test. Yes the Mad Dog did chip and the tip is bent so Nick will see that. Easy fix and if Nick wants I can fix the imperfections before I ship the knife. According to Mad Dog your warranty is now void but you still get a KICK ASS knife!

The details will be in the test results.

Damn, AOL would not let me log on from Las Vegas to pick a number. Oh well, enjoy wherever that dog lies.

Congratulations Nick, you're a good guy, I'm glad you won.

Any chance that we can get a list of our numbers and/or summary of results?

In my pathetic quest for a Maddog (I'm MD-less and I've tried for over a year to get one; and now I see that one of the distributers I contacted has closed shop!) I bought 10 of these tickets and I was just wondering what numbers I drew and how close (or far) I was.

Thanks

Sorry Paul, that would be a lot of work for not much result... I don't want to think about typing all that out.

VG, stop worrying about the darned raffle and concentrate on winning the Presidential Election, will ya?

Mike,

something to keep in mind for your next raffle.

My numbers were 127,128,129,130,131,132,133,134,135,136.

What exactly is 'random' about this sequence? Do you see the problem in assigning sequential numbers to those entering the raffle and then asking SOMEBODY (i.e a persona and not a random number generator) to pick a number to decide the winner.

Please strive for true randomness in the future.

In any case, I pissed away $50 ... now about that complementary subscription????

Paul,

There is now way you would know what number you are or what number would be picked. I have to have a range of numbers to select from. Maybe next time I will remove the tickets and randomize them before we right the names on them. Maybe that would be better although it would in no way change the outcome or the chances of winning.
