Ill see how they realy are tomorrow. (Fingers Crossed) after 6 wood chucks it aint gonna be good. I just watched like 8 episodes of American Dad and convexed a proto boss street and a sar 3 while killing 6 wood chucks (5% ALCOHOL). Two very thick profiled blades and me with grandads old rough stone thrown in with some fine grit sand paper could not end well. I was gonna go camping but got lost and couldnt find find the trail head before dark. I am f-ing mad about it too. So I spent the night taking it out on two otherwise mintu fresh blades.

Any one else ever do this lonely guy hobby number 2? The wife is out of town so what else is there for a respectable man to do?

I've done that before and it looked great the next day..... Once I started drinking again.

they are all still here but not real good for typing. i may wear outmy back space button by morning.

I love to sharpen when pissed. Well it looks like sharpening through grunk eyes, morning time could tell a differant story.lol

Ha!

And yup, when I get bored I either work on my convex edges, reload, or take guns apart to see how they work and how I can make the action smoother, or do a trigger job when I can.

If you ever get REALLY ambitious, try convexing a FFBM by hand. It'll keep you occupied for a while.

Get said victim away from electrical outlets.
Take a shot from your Makers Mead, turn
down the lights and evaluate the situation.
Outside with a headlamp is best.

Watch your fingers man. By the way what is a "wood chuck"? (Is it actually a drink or is it just slang for beer?)

No power tools. never use them on nice blades. Just an old stone, sand paper and will power. wood chuk is a beer. made in vermont. like a hard cider. very good.

"Booze and Beltsanders don't bode well for your Busse's" ... should be a "mantra" that comes with each knife ... but hand stones and grit paper are'nt going to cause any problems ...

dawn come early with rosey fingers! a sober look at the sar 3 and BJ proto didnt make me regret it. i went from 320 grit to 2000 grit and the edge is not as glossy as i would like, but it is very sharp an the edges on both are even. Imagine what else I could do well after a few beers... I may put a screaming sharp edge on my tank buster tonight. its still up for trade but i didnt get offers for what i was looking for.
