Can anyone tell me if the 272.00 price point is worth it and how has the knife and blade coating held up with edc? My only concern never have owned a spring assist knife, does the blade ever come out on its own? Thanks
 
great knife , It's a beast, I've owned a few, and they have all been the same rock solid lock up, the spring assisted part, Is o.k the knife fires hard, but I have never had it come open when I didn't want it to or have I ever heard of this happening to anyone else, but don't pay 272.00 bucks for one hit up kershawguy on here he's a dealer and he can get you a brand new one for waaay cheaper than that...Plus ZT's warranty and customer service is the best in the business .
 
If you work at it you can beat that price by quite a bit. Its a great knife I dont really carry mine much but I doubt there is any issue of it deploying on its own, takes a bit of a push to get it going.

I found a 0303 and its the color combo I want but all the descriptions say rare version/ numbered. I don't know if I want to carry a rare production version.

Email steelhead15@juno.com He can get you A Blem which has a minor cosmetic defect that you wont notice for way way cheaper but It has no warranty, Or he can get you a regular one (non blem )It's a little more expensive but not much, and you get ZT"s Kick A$$ warranty.

are you on a certain auction site looking ? People on there will do anything to make there knives seem more valuable as he said they all have serial numbers nothing rare about a zt 303.... Regular production knife
 
to answer your other question about the coating, mine held up fine , until me being an idiot took over... I wanted to put a 20 degree edge on the knife using my edge pro, Well I forgot to tape the blade so that 120 grit stone took off a little amount of coating , I'm really surprised it didn't take off more than it did , it just put a few scratches on it. IMO the coating on the 30x series of knives is some of the best I've used, Remember the 30x series was meant to use hard , It was a bolt for a pivot for crying out loud , shes a heavy beast of a folder that is meant to take abuse , you shouldn't have any problems with the coating unless you do something stupid like i did, But my knife still doesn't look bad it just has a few small scratches on it...
 
So do u get a better price from kershawguy if you hit him up through here then because the 300 is on his site for that price
 
No problem his good people too... You can look him up in the feedback section or in the ZT kershaw subforum he is well known for having the best prices and customer service on zt's and Kershaws.
