OK, so what's a SC705?

Saw a scrimshaw knife that looks just like an SC507, but it's marked "Schrade+ USA SC705" on the tang. I've looked on the collectors-r-us page but can't find it. Anybody know if this might be a legit knife or a knockoff?

Thanks,

Dave

Here is my SC705.Sorry about the pictures. The only difference I found between the SC507 and the SC 705 is the N/S bolsters. If it says USA like this one its legit.Arnold

When Schrade received a substantial order from a customer for a pattern of Scrimshaw knives (custom art or, usually a reprise of an earlier Scrimshaw Of The Great American Outdoors pattern, they would use a different tang stamp to differentiate it from their limited editions. I have a pair of Sharpfingers stamped SC205 one scrimmed and one blank. Mr. Giorgianni, when asked about them by his son, replied that they were SFO's, but he could not remember the customer.
