Ok stupid computer question

this probably belongs in gagets and gear but...lets say I want to high light a whole collum of something...like a play list on itunes...

I used to know a keyboard combo where you would highlight the first and then the last of the collum and when you highlighted the last you pressed some other keys and the whole range was highlighted...what is that again...anyone??

Click the top selection

Hold down the "shift" key....

Click the last selection and everything in between should now be selected.

You can also hold the "ctrl" key and click multiple items and all will stay selected.
