Ok, I give up. I've got a new killer camera (first pix are in the Gallery-Trailing Point) but, taking a picture of something so big is well beyond me. Boy, have I tried. Also, being a full time maker, there's no way I can afford pro pix on this thing.
So, here are the pix but, there's no way to appreciate my first attemt at a sword with these pix. I hope this is passable.
Celtic-Crossover Long Sword
This sword has a 28" blade of 5160 spring steel with 26" edges (heat treated by Jerry Rados). This sword was made as a matching piece for our Celtic Dagger (shown in the Dagger section of our web site). The handle is Sambar stag with ebony ends and brass/nickle-silver spacers. The ends are brass and file worked nickle-silver discs and the pommel is brass with an onyx cabochon. The blade sheath has a Celtic carving pattern and the customer's family crest. Tess outdid herself on this! This piece is 38" overall, tip to cab.
Let me know what you think.
I have a matching blade that's in the works but, on hold. Who knows?
