just Got my Pacific Salt today (Rustproof milli) And jeeziz its alot bigger then i thought it would be. Here are some size pics.
Also i know this subject is beat to death but what are the Pros and Cons of H1 steel.
Why arent more steels rust resistent?
I got the salt not only for use around water but so i can clean it after cutting a sandwich with no worries. : )

carbon steels re not rust resistant. stainless steels are rust resistant. that what makes them stainless steel. h1 however is touted to be rust proof. youll probably never get rust on that millie unless you like let it sit in water for extended periods of time, take it in salt water, dont dry it etc, etc. but the thing with h1 is you could do that with the pac salt and still not get rust.

i had a pacific salt. i liked the h1 steel. took a nice enough edge, held it pretty good. i traded it away though because i didnt like how big it was.

yeah i have trouble feeling comfortable EDCing my milly, but the Salt has a more sheeple friendly happy Sunny look to it.

I think its crappy how people feel "uncomfortable" carrying a knife. I myself don't feel uncomfortable, just concious of the people i'm going to be around and if it's worth the looks and hassle, but in the end, if you aren't breaking a law and they're bugging out, OH WELL. Lol, nice knife though, i've been wanting to get one.

Looks a tad bit bigger than an endura.

It's actually the same size as the Endura4 (3-3/4" blade in a handle that's just under 5"). In fact, I'm betting it's the same blade pattern too. Only the steel is different. The handle looks like one of the earlier Endura3 versions (squared off butt, with the different clip mounting).

Sometimes i get knife guys saying "thats a little big for every day carry". When i have my Milly i feel like i have the perfect tool for almost anything, i dont feel the same when i carry my UKPK or delica. Where i live pretty much any knife is legal to carry, cept autos of course. so im gonna EDC the hell out of the salt

I prefer smaller knives for all carry except woods. Pretty much all i do with a knife around the house is cut, so i don't need a huge knife. I feel more prepared in the woods with my JK fixed blade.

If you're like me, there will come a day when it won't look so BIG anymore. I've noticed, over the years, that the knives I used to think were LARGE, now look relatively average. And what used to look medium, now seems kind of small. That's the way it seems to go, if you stay in the knife-collecting game very long.
