Just ordered a BK-2. Apparently I have/had a need for an indestructible companion in my get home/get my son car kit. Also just ordered micarta handles for the King which means ordering the BK-2 gives me an extra set of grivory to play with so it all makes perfect sense - I needed a 2.

In the last six months I have ordered a 9, 13, 24, 16, and now the 2. Of course no car kit is complete with out a 3. :D

Think I am going to strip and cold blue the 2. Maybe stipple the grips. These Beckers are fun.

Over the last 9 months I have bought a 7, 9, & 11. Won a 14 in a GAW.
Bought micarta for the 14, stripped and patina'd the 9 and 11, and modded the scales on the 7 and 9.
Now I am saving every penny I can in anticipation of the re-release of the BRK.
After reading the new Remora thread I have convinced myself that I need a 13 as well...
And a 5, and a 2, and a 3, and a 16...
I need to pick up a part-time job just to support my growing Becker habit...
Sure does beat dope and gambling for addictions though...

Looks like fun. Now you need a BK-15 or BK-17 (or both :D ). I can feed the Becker thing. Or maybe a BK-10.... when you get them all, then you start over again.
 
Mr Knot, the 13 is a perfect rat skinner. Works great on apples too.

22-Rimfire, every one I have is so well designed I will have to own them all. But then that is it. No more knives after that.
 
I know the feeling... had 0 Becker knives on 1/1/14 and now have a 1, 3x2's, 4, 7, 2x9's, 2x11's,16, and a 17 and I'm sure I'm no where near done.
 
Yah, Beckers are like knife crack....but in a good and useful way. Once you start, it's pretty difficult if not impossible to stop; and you make a $#!+load of rationalizations to buy the next one, like "I really think my wife should have this TacTool in her car, but I should hold onto it just in case....then again, I should have it in my truck. Yeah, it'll be way more useful to me there...."
 
The first step is to admit that you have a problem. All I have is a 2, so no problem here. You guys have problems. Oh, I almost forgot, I do have a 16 also. And a 4. And a couple of 14's. And there's a 15 around here somewhere, maybe near the 7. And a 9. Can't not have a 9. But that's it. I can quit any time I want. No problem.
 
All I know, is I see an awful lot of not-5-owning punks around here.

Sure, you've got some nice choppy / carvey knives with your 2's and 9's - but your lack of slicey is near critical.
 
Yep, it happens to the best of us. I think I bought one new or slightly used Becker every month for the first year after I got my first one. I think I currently own every Becker knife in production except the 2, 3 & 4. So if you think you've got it bad you're probably right. It'll get better when you have one of each.
Well for a little while. Then you'll start wanting the ones that are out of production like the 6. I REALLY want a 6. I had given up on ever getting an RBK but then Ethan pulled that off so I expect I'll have one by Christmas. Miracles do happen!

The two was left on the ground with barely a knock at the door. But I was ready. Opened, stripped and blued tonight. Pics tomorrow. You know the knife is a beast, you read about it, hear other people say it, but when you finally hold it... This thing feels indestructible.

"No more knives after that"???? I don't think I have every heard a knife owner/buyer say that . . . oh maybe they did but not out loud for fear someone would hear them or read them and remember to call them on it when they bought their next knife or knife beyond their self-established limit. Although I have heard people say things "like" this, e.g., "I'm going to quit smoking after I finish this pack." ;)
