OK, this is wierd...

the reports of glowing zombies roaming the area infecting others in geometric progression are completely denied by the local gov't.

in another completely unrelated story, the same gov't. has put out an order for 50,000 18in gurkha knives for domestic use.

I read about this a week or 2 ago, Its nothing out the ordinary i dont think ? no bits of any unexplained air craft or misiles or anything, just a huge hole !!! it probably was just a big bit of rock hitting the ground, as the reports sugest.

Its nothing out the ordinary

Yeah I cant count the number of times a meteorite hit the ground near my house and then the whole neighborhood was afflicted with illness from an unidentified gas coming from the crater...

The release of various gasses is actually a common ocurance in alot geological activity. so it's not totaly out of the ordinary. Granted, it is a bit odd that so many people were ill from it but they were quite close to the impact site. i dont know of another meteorite impact as big as this near or in a populated area so it may be the norm or not ? there is little previous evidence to look at here.
All the bigger hits seem to thankfully be in secluded areas so people are just not exposed to the enitial release of gasses, by the time the impact site has been located the gas will have had pleanty time to dissipate out.

What do you make of it ? im intersted in your interpritation of these events ?

J.K.M.

"What has this to do with khukuries? Everything!"

Just had to use one of Uncle Bill's quotes here.

Seen comments that there can be pockets of some gasses trapped underground which when released by such an impact could cause some of the illness symptoms, and that there were also some animal remains around the site which may have produced further problems if they decomposed into a water supply.

Meteoric iron/nickel/whatever vaporized on impact, breathed as an aerosol? Maybe, but it seems farfetched, pulverized crap from the ground is more likely.

No weirder than when Godzilla attacked the country you are currently residing in.

meteorites are worth big bucks,,,id be strapping on a respirator and digging that sucker up

Sounds like a very large chunk of "blue ice" fallen off an airplane. Some of those junks get very big, and depending what was on the in-flight menu it could contain some very ripe vapors.

I don't know what is going on, but you couldnt ask for a better beginning for a movie..

The best evil meteor movie was the segment of "Creepshow" where some doofus (played by Stephen King) touches a meteor and starts to turn into a vegetable . . . literally.

that's what they'd like you to believe as they take the zombie bodies and the crashed space ship and it's horriblenesses occupants back to area 51.
