OK to store knives in Kydex sheaths or not?

I've always been told not to store knives in leather sheaths because the leather will retain moisture. What about Kydex, or nylon for that matter?

As long as you put the knife in the kydex sheath dry or lightly oiled, storing it there will not be a problem. Thermoplastics will not absorb and trap moisture from the air like leather will. I've been leaving my custom Bagwell Bowies sheathed in their Southern Comforts for years. Great for storage or carry.

Thanks, Mike. Any thoughts on nylon? I realize that most nylon sheaths still have some sort of plastic liner anyway, but I don't want to assume. To be honest, I stored knives I bought 20+ years ago in their leather and nylon sheaths with no visible corrosion, but they were all some sort of stainless steel (usually 440) while I'm now getting more into 1095, D2, etc.
