The BK7 arrived Fri from 1SKS. What's the deal? Does it self-destruct
after a few days? Does it turn into a pumpkin at midnight?
Maybe it is mass hypnosis and I only think I have it?
The reason for all the questions should be obvious!
There is no way you can get this much quality in a knife and sheath
for this price! So damn it, I want some answers! What are you guys trying to pull? Don't you know that this knife should have a rubber handle and sell for at least $100? What about the sheath? Do you really expect us to believe that a below $120 knife should come with a sheath that doesn't have to be replaced ASAP? I want answers! I can handle the truth! I gotta know, did you figure out a way to run a business without making profit? Oh, I get it, the amount I paid was the first installment payment? Is this a rent to own knife?

OK, all BS aside. I've been buying, using, collecting combat knives for 20+ years. This is the best value per dollar that I have ever seen! Bar none!
More later!

You know I wondered the same thing. Just looking at the knife in photos, the sheath in photos, the specs and the rep for quality the company has, I could not figure out how they do it. Makes you wonder what you are really getting for the big bucks from other companies. I long ago kissed off the idea that I paid a couple hundred bucks for a knife because it did the job better than something made from an old leaf spring in pakistan.

The only reason to pay more is because you like the design and materials and the fact that not everyone has one. Maybe a little snob appeal as well. Because if you just want to cut and cut and cut and work and just need a good plain old durable knife for the job, ol BK&T is as far as you need really look.

Mike, you nailed it exactly. This knife and the whole BK&T line makes you rethink some past purchases.
I haven't tested the BK7 yet, but looking at it strictly in terms of materials and construction, I've paid much more and gotten much less.
I am really looking forward to some test reports, it should do well.
It doesn't have the weight to be much of a chopper, but I think it will stack up well in terms of edge holding, cutting and overall strength. The sheath is every bit as good as the one that came with my Busse SHe and BMe. In fact, I like the liner better.
This piece has a great "feel" in the hand, very good balance. I agree with Anthony Lombardo about the thumb ramp, it is the first one that really feels right to me.
Great job Mr.Becker and all involved!
