So my wife has recently been somewhat interested in getting a knife, she whipped my Delica 4 out of her pocket the other day.
After trying to get some ideas on what she preferred that she didn't like with the Delica, I've come up with these details:

Low Ride Clip - a MUST!
Nail Nick
Non-Liner Lock, she like the lock back of the delica.
3" or less

I haven't come across anything that fits all three of those criteria. I've found three out of four, but the low-ride clip is hard to find!

So this is where I need everyone's help, if anyone knows or comes across a knife that fits those, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

STR makes low-ride clips. Get three out of four, and then get four from him. May actually have something ready-made, or you can custom order.

STR has his own forum, I think in the Knife-makers section...

Spyderco Squeak in Pink is what my Fiance chose, when I showed her all the pink options available.

It is very well built, and the fit and finish are excellent. It is not a locking blade but Spyderco's slip joint works very well, and is very solid. For the typical light duty tasks that most ladies would use it for there is really no need for a lock.

I was very surprised by this little knife! So much so that I went and bought one for myself, as I couldn't carry her pink one, not that she would let me anyways, as this thing is on her hip 24/7.

The best knife that I could think of that isn't a liner lock is the new Hogue series knives. I hadn't heard of them since last week when I was a cutlery shop. I held one and boy are they comfortable.... Hogue has been making gun grips for years so I don't know what else to expect. But the part that really made them stand out to me is the lock mechanism. Instead on a liner lock, axis lock, etc., it has a button that you push in and that releases the lock, there is also a safety switch for the button as to not accidentally disengage the lock. I'm even thinking of picking one up. Check then out they have drop point and tanto style and can be found for around $140

Just wondering, what's the deal with the nail nick? If that isn't a dealbreaker, the Benchmade Pika 2 would fit your description

I would normally suggest hopping over to the Traditional Knives forum and exploring the world of old slipjoints and lockbacks.
But the low ride clip, or any clip for that matter, throws me off.
You can't go wrong with a Spyderco UKPK Slipjoint.

As was previously mentioned there is really no need for a lock, and Spyderco's design was such that it can't really close on your fingers due to the choil design.

Cold steel made a couple recently that have nail-nicks. One is called a Lonestar hunter and the other is the Mackinac hunter. They have clips on them, so if you can get a replacement low-ride, you would be set

I was thinking slipjoint, but the clip takes it away. Maybe a Buck 55 with a custom clip? This was first in my mind, haven't been looking at tactical/ modern knives in a long while. The problem with the Buck is that it is pretty heavy compared to a Slipit or Delica.

I was looking at a few with her last night on line. She said the griptilian looked descent, she liked the dragonfly 2 well enough, she really liked the look of this one...if it wasn't so big, she said that'd be perfect:

8.5" OAL
3.75" Blade

Also, to throw another curve ball, she is left-handed, but she said the low-ride clip was NOT the most important as long as everything else was there. she doesn't want it to get pushed out of her pocket when she sits down or whatever; which she said happened with the delica.

I want to get my wife a knife for Christmas, but it'll probably end up in a drawer with the others I've already bought her.

Dragonfly 2 for sure. Get it and if she isn't happy I'll buy it from you and give it to my wife. Oh and get the G10 one...

My wife would not use a knife without cutting herself, so I bought her a riding lawn mower. It pained me to watch her push that old mower so much.:D

How about one hand opening(like the delica), Lock Back, and Low Ride Clip?
Would that work?

If so:
Spyderco Squeak - Pink - It's a slip joint.
Spyderco UKPK - Slip Joint as well.
Spyderco Dragonfly - Low ride clip, lock back, 2.25" blade.
Spyderco Pingo - Not one hand opening, Low ride clip, no lock.

If you don't mind going more expensive:
Spyderco Chaparral
Spyderco Sage - You pick
Spyderco Urban - Non-Locking
Spyderco Caly 3
Spyderco Kopa - If you can find one.
