Well found an Woodsman 9" SS knife and it came to day. It was sharpish out of the box but once my Razor Edge Honer got down with it, its super sharp! Don't know if its one of the canceled models, but after my "Evil" step mother "Stole" my last SS one during large critter cutting season, I was glad I found the replacement. I just used mine for large critter cutting and water borne misadventuring. If used as a camp knife and used for steel vs wood, its a nice tough knife I never had any problems with it. Some one here did a great vid on the Woodsman 420 SS here. I did a test where even an SP-53 couldn't split a frozen log with my 420 Woodsman besides other torture stuff and it came out fine with no edge damage. For use as intended and not being used to chop rocks with it, the SS Woodsman performs fine. Well even for non proper use on big critter bones the one that was "Stolen" didn't show any extra damage. (Really their freezer ran out of room and they wondered why it all fit in there...the meat that is. Glad they didn't check my car trunk!)

I got lucky getting a 5160 Woodsman, IE a SP-50 with a FULL TANG, that really well its 5160 even with a FFG grind its freaking indestructible if not used like steel on steel and such.

Edicus: Oh box dated April 2020. Fit and finish seem a bit better than my other SS ones. My Woodsman 420 SS ones get no oil for field use, because they are also camp cooking knives as well. Cutting the frozen chickens before grilling over an open fire is a breeze with that knife!
