I have an Al Mar 4x4 I have had forever. The old guy i bought it from had a story that had the 4x4 given to him personaly by Al himself. Way back then Al was still alive and never gave it a thought. My question is about the pliars and their pivot point. I have never seen one like mine. The pivot has nothing visable as a bolt. It is finished off flush. The same finish as the entire unit, brushed stainless. I am asking if you all have one like this. Or do you all have a bolt with nut?

There is one like yours on Arizona Custom Knives page. Looks like it is peened like a rivet then ground down and sanded.
