My brother carries one everyday....we both have quite a few knives(he has the most complete collection of "older" Case copperlocks I've ever seen).I mostly carry an "old"H&R congress....a Black Kat,a Large MM trapper or my Buck.Anyhow he gave me an Okapi .I've been carrying it everyday....the carbon blade is now razor sharp....it's so light you don't even feel it in the pocket. Will it be the only knife I ever carry.....will I sell all my other knives....is this "the one"!! GET REAL!!Ain't gonna happen.....at least not right now!! ONE knife....ummm I do have a story....about a craftsman from Kenya...who only has & uses "one"knife!!:D

I would like to have one for my collection, it is the German version of the French Douk Douk...meaning it was made in one European country for the express trade in a colony of theirs. I used to have a Cold Steel version but sold it off as I like more original sources of knives than Taiwan/Chinese copies.

The man with 100 knives is not a knife guy, the guy with just one knife is a knife guy. I have a ton of knives but little use for them apart from cutting a bit of string or opening a carton. Back 50 years ago, when you only owned one knife and used it for everything, it because more about your skill with the knife than the knife itself. Different times.

I still like my modern one hand openers and when I got a new one it replaced the old one as my EDC for the next few years; but with slip joints I find it is more of a weekly fashion thing to open my box and decide which one I will carry today.

Cherish your new Okapi...that is until a new slip joint comes along :p
