I'm afraid I got too far this time with modding my Opinel 8.
I didn't like the blade shape anymore because I dropped it too far to a spearpoint and tried to remedy that.
In the process I got overboard and the blade turned into an Okapi knife shape.

However on the other hand the controlling of the short blade and longer handle improved dramatically.
And the more I look at it the less sorry I am LOL

Ugly as sin, but still very usefull (and a bit more people friendly)

Would like your (not too :D ) honest opinion.

I like it. Looks like it would allow for some detail cutting. The fun of modding an opinel is experimenting, and for price, you can always try it again.
 
Nice. The short blade might make it legal in more places but at the same time it still has a big useful grip.

Why is it so hard to find small blades with big handles?
 
Heh, you called that right. That really is an Okapinel.

I really like the way you flattened that handle. And when you shortened the blade, it does fit the handle better. Yes you shortened it a bit too much, but I think it looks even better than the original really.
