Last year a friend gave me a 112 he found in the bottom of the Demoin R. (empties out of Quebec into the Ottawa R.) in a small pack with 6 full beers. The beer was skunky and the pack had been there for years. The knife was perfect and the case only needed oil. This fall I field dressed a big doe I shot with a 1907 Winchester 38-55 and wasn't happy with the knife I was using. My friend Pete has a 118 and showed me his. He's gutted dozens of deer with it and loves it. So I bought an old one, new in the box. I then found this forum. Since then I've bought the lake and stream fillet knife, a custom 110, a 112 and a 55 and a 703 Also a gent and a 102.

That's enough now boys, leave me alone! :grumpy: :D

NEVER ENOUGH :D :D :D

*sniff - sniff* YEP - smells like another case of Buck Fever in the air..... ;)

You really ought to try the (USA made) stockman 301 and cadet 303. They would make very nice additions to your small, small ......... small collection. Then maybe find yourself a 560 and have the Custom Shop put on a BG-42 blade. Then ..........

MUWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Terry,
My collections consists of 15 different versions of the 110, two 112's, a 560 with BG-42 blade, a 373, 301, an Alpha Hunter 277, a Sirus 298 with ATS 34 blade and am actively looking for more 110's to round out my collection. And you think we're EVER GOING TO LEAVE YOU ALONE??? :p :p :p

Nice!!

And thanks for the welcome! I've been doing some research and I see where you fellas are comming from. The old Buck name; like Winchester, Harley-Davidson and (now debatable) Ford; is really appealing to those of us with a sense of history and who like the Canadian/American companies. I bought a small Buck pocket knife for a friend of mine for Christmas this year. When I found out later it was made in China I was embarrased. The saving grace though was the quality of the knife. It was tight and sharp like a working pocket knife should be. It's a nice knife and Jason was really happy with it.

Thanks again lads!
