I'm getting tired of waiting. How much longer till Buck brings out a 301 something with a clip and sheepsfoot blade?

They have the regular three blade 301, and now they have a single blade 301, so why not a two blade 301 on a single backspring?

Come on Buck, don't keep us waiting.

Carl.

I am right with you on that Carl, but if they did it with the 303 Cadet I think I Might be a smidge happier. I have a deep love for the Old Timer 33OT Jack and I think if Buck made the 303 Jack it would soon become my favorite along with a lot of other people..

Same here ... I was just looking at my 303 today and wondering why they couldn't do a 330T style knife by just eliminating one of the smaller blades. I'd definitely be in for it too!

I'll go along with you and Matt on that. The 303 would be a nice two blade jack as well. I love both the stockman and cadet. I'd be happy with either if Buck would just make it.

If they did a two-bladed 301, it would have two backsprings. You'd need some serious catch bits and/or crinking to make the 301 in its current iteration with two blades and a single backspring. With two backsprings, you'd just remove the third blade and spring. Just look at the old vs. new, two bladed 305 models. The old versions have a catch bit/ spacer, asymmetrical grinds and crinking to pull off two blades on a single backspring. This is much more complicated and expensive to produce than the current version, which simply uses two springs.

I would be fine with a two bladed/ two springed 303!! What would it take to eliminate just one spring and one smaller blade? Is that something they (Custom Shop Or ?) could pull of with much success? I'm not much of a knife builder, just curious.

I got tired of waiting and modded one of the Buck 371's, easy enough to do and should be a nice 2 blade edc.

Nice work on that one Scott, I really like the look of the handles on that one. F/F looks great also. I would love to see one of those with the blades on the same end, that looks like one of the nicest mods I have seen you do.
