Okay- I have a new favorite survival teacher...

$40 for a mora? Man, she got duped. She does have some good info. A bit fast paced and gadet orientated. But it is good to see a female voice and role model out there. I'm sure your endorsement Tal. had everything to do with good intentions :)

I keep on thinking about stocking those, but I know I would just giggle whenever I saw them. Heaven forbid a female customer would actually bring one up to the counter. Thank goodness my first hire was a woman...

Back to the OP, she does have some good vids. I've been watching them for a while and have enjoyed the progression that she has made, which is pretty much always the case for anyone serious about making informational videos.
 
I've seen her vids, decent stuff. And yep she's pretty cute and like the outdoors and knives, gotta admire that!
 
Peak Survival school seems like a great wilderness skills school. It is obvious why Selica is the presenter in the most of the school's instructional videos. She is very likeable and does a good job in the videos. Maybe she doesn't do cranky old men's courses(seems to do kids and female courses) but a refreshing sight to the norm of wilderness instructors :thumbup:
 
after watching some of her vids for the past few months.. I have the sneaking suspicion that her boy friend owns a surival school and wanted to use youtube as a selling point.. so he got his semi hot Girlfriend to be the presenter... Brilliant plan seems to be working... sometimes she lets things slip that are indicative of her limited knowledge base.. (as in the mora video where she claims it is great for "killing mammals" also thes feather curls where busted...Still she is hot, and likes the outdoors... There psts are generally more gear oriented than I like..But I still watch them.. Better than 90 percent of the other crap on the tube.
 
Too much gadget and not enough go for my taste, neither instructor(?) wanted to eat an earthworm. I'm not judging by that alone, there's just not very much substance as I would like.

She said she hiked the AT in the lyme disease video(?)
 
I am gonna send her a Survival bikini made completely of OD paracord to review!

I agree, semi hot. But she does provide for good presentation.
 
Actually, no she can't. The bow is backwards! She's shooting right-handed with a left-handed bow. That just looks weird. (Does it make me gay that I even noticed that??? :) )
 
You have to dig a chick who is named after a Toyota ("Selica").

Her proboscis is somewhat lengthy, but thats ok.
