Last night, my wife and I had a little conversation about knives and my future and first EDC blade.

I told her that a BM 705 would be a perfect choice and when I was looking for some pictures of it she replied somehting like: "are you sure that's the knife you want?".

"Well... that's a good, darn knife. I mean, I'm no expert but I guess I can't complain much because everyone on the forum seems to like it."

"I'm not asking you whether that thingie is good enough for you. I'm asking you if you REALLY like it".

"What are you trying to tell me, hon?".

"Y'know... since you seem to have become a knife-nut and your birthday is approaching, why don't you spend a few more dollars and get THE KNIFE".

I almost fainted when I heard those words. I couldn't believe it so I made her repeat it twice. :D

So, to make this short, I decided to get a Sebenza Classic Unique Graphic as my EDC.

Could someone post some pics of a small and large Sebbies being grabbed by a hand (regular size hands, please, I'm no gorilla) so I can decide which model I should buy?

Thanks in advance.

Have you got any pics of a large and small Sebbie along with a Leatherman Wave? It would be very interesting in order to compare them all and make a final decision.

Thank you again.

I don't have exactly the pictures you want. But I was posting some of my Small Standard Sebenza and you can find a nice Large one picture here.

Thank you very much, Louky. That's what I was looking for. I guess the large Sebbie is way too big for a daily carry.

By the way, I didn't know Sebenzas could have a partially serrated edge. I like the way it looks.

Hehehehehe... I'm beginning to worry about the real cost of all this. Never trust a wife's spontaneous generosity. They all have something else in mind. :D

I have the same feeling with the large Sebenza, I prefer to carry a ~ 3" bladed knife for EDC. But I also have an order for a Large one... be careful, when you start to buy Sebenza, it is difficult to stop !!! ;)

Thank for your advice, I will try to remind me this think when I will be married
:D

Here is a pic of a large Sebenza in hand.

The Sebenza is a great knife, pure & simple. I just simply prefer to carry a large Sebbie for EDC. The small is too small IMO. If your wife is game, the wood inlays are very nice and feel much better in the hand.

On the same note, if you are dropping the cash for an unique graphic, take a look at the Scott Cook Lochsa. It is everything the Sebbie is and also much more refined. Blade length is very similar to a large Sebenza but has a very nice hand rubbed finish. The knife is also slimmer in the handle and features some excellent contouring that fits the hand much better. The knife is super smooth and I much prefer the lockup on the Lochsa to either of my Sebenzas. Scott has just basically used the Sebenza as the canvas and created a true work of art as a result. The attention to detail is amazing. Perhaps the finest folding knife I will ever own.
