  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Okay, I've got it narrowed down to ...

meisenzahl, I really like my Sirus.:D The action on it is very quick:eek: and is on par with any automatic I have.:D

Yep

Agree with Buck_110..

Of the two knives listed I would go for the 298 with the 154CM.

Better steel - less sharpening needed. So a better all round EDC. Plus the ASAP is a neat bonus and not a gimmick. Works well and you feel secure with your knife when it opens.

Hmmmm....tough choice. I have no opinion (LOL).

CHRIS...send me an e-mail so I can tell ya where to get a Sirus for $58.00 and they ship fast. Ask Doc Darryl...he's now a believer too :)

...Chris...Take the gooser up on his kind offer...I did and I'm glad I did. The 298GY has become my sole EDC since I got it in my hands:thumbup:  . I've not found a can of Spam or a salami or pepperoni or pickle or pepper of any sort that can stand up to it when used as per the instructions found throughout the forum...( as posted by gooser...:D )...This knife could make Knife Sharpener manufacturers go out of business... ...I love it...:D

ya know i was following this line wanderig my self...
if i did not have so many i could use as edc
i would get one of these new fangled modern knives...
maybe... well most likely...
'cause if the goose or doc darryl says it is good ...
that is good enught for me.... looks solid is it?

Do I know this place??? ;)

...I think ya do Trax...I'm sure goose would be willing to slip ya the name but I think you may have bought from them before...I recommend the place wholeheartedly. I believe I ordered my Sirus on a Thursday night and I was playin' with it on Saturday. I was amazed at the speed of the shipment and how well they packaged it...their prices are really nice as well...Totally Awesome seller...

...Dave it's got one of the most solid lock-ups of any knife I have. It's sweet...Supersonic-like quickness on deployment and absolutely no wobble left to right or up and down. Gotta say that the ASAP technology thing is beyond "fast"...I wish I woulda jumped on the "Sirus Bandwagon" when gooser did after he talked to that "rodent" fella over there in Texas...It's a super EDC and holds it's edge like sharpening is illegal...

Decaf...
It is solid.
Felt odd carrying it at first as I usually had a 110 on the belt. This 298GY rides clipped in the front jeans pocket.
Now, while I have a very small collection of 110/2 knives, I have a few of each of them in my EDC rotation. BUT, I found that I was carrying the Sirus more often. It's frickin' easy to open, clean (post spacers), great steel, and the clip is positioned such that you don't have to fumble it around when you need to deploy it. It can be deployed immediately upon pocket extraction...with both the removal from the pocket and opening happening in one fluid move.

Mike K. was the one that sold me on it. He speaks highly of it too. I was fortunate to find Larry had a signed set for me. They are keepers.

I will tell any of my Buck Brothers here what I told Darryl and Chris, get one. If you don't like it, I will buy it from you for the price you paid (under $60 and in new condition of course). I doubt anyone that gets one of these will be letting them go.
